Land development impacts of BRT in a sample of stops in Quito and Bogotá
Transport Policy, 2016Abstract Despite the growing popularity of bus rapid transit (BRT), little is known about its impacts on land development. In this paper we examine the land development impacts of BRT in Bogota and Quito, two cities that have made a variety of BRT investments over the last two decades and with Curitiba, they have been world pioneers of BRT.

Fare discrimination and daily demand distribution in the BRT system in Bogotá
Public Transport, 2018Bogotá transport authority changed Bus Rapid Transit (Transmilenio) fares in August 2012 to manage congestion, particularly during peak hours. They reduced fares and implemented fare discrimination between peak and off-peak hours to balance demand and make the system more affordable.
