The importance of farmland for Ortolan Buntings nesting on raised peat bogs
The majority of the Norwegian population ofthe endangered Ortolan Bunting, Emberiza hortulana, breeds on raised peat bogs. I studied whether their breeding site selection was affected by the availability of another habitat (farmland) close to bogs.

The Moorland Clouded Yellow (Colias palaeno) benefited from cattle grazing in three different ways by (i) fostering the nectar supply; (ii) enhancing rejuvenation of the host plant (Vaccinium uliginosum); and (iii) improving microclimatic conditions for successful development of the immature stages.

Warm Spring Weather Alters Calling Phenology of Four Sympatric Early‐Breeding Anurans
An unusually warm March in 2024 (“false spring”) followed by freezing temperatures allowed us to assess the impact of a weather event on an amphibian community. The calling activity of all four species was associated with increasing temperature, and the first date of calling was advanced by 11–18 days.
