Diagenetic processes controlled by volcanic detritus of the Lower‐Middle Permian Shanxi and Shihezi sandstone formations, North Ordos Basin, China

open access: yesThe Depositional Record, Volume 11, Issue 5, Page 1645-1668, November 2025.
Comparisons of Lower‐Middle Permian Shanxi and Lower Shihezi formations from the North Ordos Basin reveal that different types and percentages of volcanic detritus induced by active magmatic cycles can significantly change diagenetic evolution and favourable reservoirs.

Nodal variations and long-term changes in the main tides on the coasts of China [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The long-term changes in the main tidal constituents (O1, K1, M2, N2, and S2) along the coasts of China and in adjacent seas are investigated based on 17 tide-gauge records covering the period 1954–2012.

Deformational Mechanism and Tectonic Evolution of Mesozoic-Cenozoic Nonmarine Basins from Bohai Bay Basin - China [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Bohai Bay Basin,China, is a rift basin developed in Mesozoic-Cenozoic time span. It was compressionally deformed during Caledonian Orogeny and situated on a Paleozoic platform “old craton” basement and later subjected to extensional stress and induced ...

On the mechanical behavior of compacted pack ice : a theoretical and numerical investigation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Pack ice is an aggregate of ice floes drifting on the sea surface. The forces controlling the motion and deformation of pack ice are air and water drag forces, sea surface tilt, Coriolis force and the internal force due to the interaction between ice ...
