ABSTRACT Background Thoracic ultrasonography (TUS) could improve antibiotic treatment selection in cattle with respiratory diseases. Hypothesis/Objectives Evaluate the association between respiratory pathogens and consolidations on TUS in feedlot cattle, at both individual and group levels. Animals A total of 221 bulls, aged 8.8 months and weighing 322.

Silver Nanoparticle‐Mediated Antiviral Efficacy against Enveloped Viruses: A Comprehensive Review
Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) exhibit broad‐spectrum antiviral activity by targeting key viral structures and processes. They disrupt viral envelopes, compromising integrity, and bind to nucleocapsids, impairing viral replication. AgNPs also inhibit glycoprotein interactions, preventing viral attachment and entry into host cells.

A new molecular method for the rapid subtyping of bovine herpesvirus 1 field isolates [PDF]
Bovine herpesvirus 1 (BoHV-1) causes several clinical syndromes in cattle worldwide. There are 3 subtypes of BoHV-1: 1.1, 1.2a, and 1.2b. Several molecular methods are commonly used in the detection and characterization of BoHV-1. Among them, restriction
