Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Enhancing the flexibility and safety of electric-resistance heating on thick-walled pressure parts of utility boilers in coal-fired power plants

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering
In this paper, a method for electric-resistance heating is proposed to reduce the thermal stress generated at a thick-walled pressure component during cold start-up in a coal-fired utility boiler.

ENVIRONMENTAL ASPECTS OF MODERNIZATION OF HIGH POWER WATER-HEATING BOILERS

open access: yesENERGETIKA. Proceedings of CIS higher education institutions and power engineering associations, 2016
Boilers of KVGM and PTVM series are characterized by high values of NOx and CO content in the combustion products. Reduction of NOx and CO content can be achieved by two ways: by installing the condensing heat recovery unit at the boiler outlet and by improving the heat and mass transfer processes in boiler furnaces.

Tin‐Oxo Nanocluster Extreme UV Photoresists Equipped with Chemical Features for Atmospheric Stability and High EUV Sensitivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fluoroalkyl‐functionalized tin–oxo nanoclusters (N‐TOC6) enable robust pattern formation through ligand crosslinking under EUV exposure without thermal processing. Sn–F coordination mitigates the Lewis acidity of Sn centers, suppressing reactions with airborne molecules and improving post‐exposure pattern stability.
