Temperature control of a cryogenic bath [PDF]
Foreign gas introduced into vapor phase above liquid region cools cryogenic baths. Equipment consists of gas tank and cover of styrofoam. Helium is considered the best choice to produce cooling, though any gas with boiling point lower than that of bath ...

Combining supercritical CO2 (s‐CO2) cycles with particle‐based heat transfer media holds great potential in concentrated solar power plants but poses enormous material challenges. The particle/s‐CO2 heat exchanger must withstand extreme conditions, including high temperatures, pressures, CO2 corrosion, and erosion.

The fabrication and post‐treatment via solvent annealing of poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene) polystyrene sulfonate‐based electrodes using spray deposition in a roll‐to‐roll setup are presented. The decrease in sheet resistance and its correlation with nanostructure and molecular structure in the electrodes as a function of the processing parameters is ...

Water Boiling inside Carbon Nanotubes: Towards Efficient Drug Release [PDF]
We show using molecular dynamics simulation that spatial confinement of water inside carbon nanotubes (CNT) substantially increases its boiling temperature and that a small temperature growth above the boiling point dramatically raises the inside pressure.

Transition between Thin Film Boiling and Evaporation on Nanoporous Membranes Near the Kinetic Limit [PDF]
Nanoporous structures including single nanopores and nanoporous membranes have been utilized as a platform to study fundamental liquid-vapor phase change heat transfer (PCHT) processes as well as a promising candidate for high flux heat dissipation. Both thin film boiling and evaporation through nanoporous structures have been demonstrated to achieve ...
