Comparative studies on the combustion characteristics of electrolytes and carbonate mixed solvents with flame retardant additives under low pressures

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering, 2023
Adding flame retardant additives is an effective approach to improve the safety of lithium-ion battery electrolytes. This study discusses the inhibiting effects of three flame retardant additives on the combustion characteristics of electrolyte and ...

Distributive Minimization Comprehensions and the Polynomial Hierarchy [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
A categorical point of view about minimization in subrecursive classes is presented by extending the concept of Symmetric Monoidal Comprehension to that of Distributive Minimization Comprehension. This is achieved by endowing the former with coproducts and a finality condition for coalgebras over the endofunctor sending X to ${1}\oplus{X}$ to perform a

Boiling point and molecular weight [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Chemical Education, 1962
This short note points out that molecular weight, by itself, has negligible influence on boiling point.

Bacteria‐Derived Extracellular Vesicle as A “Trojan Horse” for Selective M1 Macrophage‐Targeting in A Multi‐Cellular Entanglement Environment

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The temporary transition of macrophages from a pro‐inflammatory phenotype of macrophages (M1) to an anti‐inflammatory phenotype of macrophages (M2) is crucial for tissue repair and regeneration processes. Bacterial outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) are utilized as a “trojan horse” for specific M1 macrophage‐targeting and anti‐inflammatory drug delivery ...

Fully Bio‐Based Epoxy Resins from Liquefied Wood for Chemically Recyclable Wood Coatings

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A bio‐based and chemically recyclable epoxy resin derived from liquefied wood and its use in wood coatings is presented. The resin exhibits mechanical, thermal, and water‐resistant properties comparable to commercial coatings and can be chemically recycled and reused. This approach provides fast access to glossy and fully biobased durable wood coatings

Biomimetic Co‐delivery of Lenvatinib and FePt Nanoparticles for Enhanced Ferroptosis/Apoptosis Treatment of Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a novel HCC treatment using poly lactic‐co‐glycolic acid (PLGA) nanoparticles encased in HCC cell membranes to co‐deliver Lenvatinib and FePt nanoparticles. This approach improves treatment efficacy by enhancing ferroptosis and apoptosis.

ORGANIC KEROSENE PRODUCTION FROM A MIXTURE OF CASSAVA (MANIHOTESCULENTIA), MAIZE (ZEAMAYS) AND AKINTOLA LEAVES (CHROLLAENAODORATA) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Organic kerosene was produced using cassava, maize and Akintola leaves in a liquid mixture. The specific gravity, viscosity and Boiling point were determined using ASTM (D 4052, D 445 and D 86), respectively. The specific gravity ranged from 1.003 to 1.
