Ferroelectric Quantum Dots for Retinomorphic In‐Sensor Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work has provided a protocol for fabricating retinomorphic phototransistors by integrating ferroelectric ligands with quantum dots. The resulting device combines ferroelectricity, optical responsiveness, and low‐power operation to enable adaptive signal amplification and high recognition accuracy under low‐light conditions, while supporting ...

Micro-laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy using GHz repetition rate pulses at nJ pulse energy

open access: yesJPhys Photonics
Using GHz repetition rate pulses in burst mode has shown significant attention, particularly in laser micromachining, due to its ability to enable highly efficient, low-energy material removal. In this work, we introduce the first Laser-Induced Breakdown

Engineered Protein‐Based Ionic Conductors for Sustainable Energy Storage Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Rational incorporation of charged residues into an engineered, self‐assembling protein scaffold yields solid‐state protein films with outstanding ionic conductivity. Salt‐doping further enhances conductivity, an effect amplified in the engineered variants. These properties enable the material integration into an efficient supercapacitor.

Analysis of acid pitchstone (Iceland) using laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) [PDF]

open access: yesActa Montanistica Slovaca, 2013
Analysis of acid pitchstone (sample from Iceland) using laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) is presented in this study. The rock sample was taken because of its uniform composition and a homogenous structure at microscale.

Polymorph‐Specific Electronic Transduction in WO3 during Molecular Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐oxide polymorphs with similar surface chemistry can nevertheless exhibit distinct sensing properties. In γ‐ and ε‐WO3, analyte adsorption appears comparable; yet, only ε‐WO3 induces a pronounced lattice electronic perturbation that accommodates charge in sub‐conduction band minimum states.

High‐Gain Ag2Te/MoS2 Hybrid Photodetectors for Short‐Wave Infrared Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A precision‐engineered short‐wave infrared image sensor based on a 0D/2D Ag2Te/MoS2 hybrid structure is demonstrated in this work. The device exploits photodoping at the nanoscale interface to achieve broadband detection from visible to infrared wavelengths with high responsivity and fast response.

Experimental and Theoretical Electron Collision Broadening Parameters for Several Ti II Spectral Lines of Industrial and Astrophysical Interest

open access: yesAtoms
A Q-switched Nd:YAG laser was focused on the Pb–Ti alloy samples in several laser-induced breakdown experiments in order to measure the Stark parameters of several spectral lines (58) of singly ionized titanium, including the 3504.89 Å and 3510.83 Å ...
