Influence of dentin pretreatment on bond strength of universal adhesives

open access: yesActa Biomaterialia Odontologica Scandinavica, 2017
Objective: The purpose of the present study was to compare bond strength of different universal adhesives under three different testing conditions: when no pretreatment was applied, after 37% phosphoric acid etching and after glycine application ...

The Impact of Implicit Government Guarantee on Credit Rating of Municipal Investment Bonds [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
One type of bond with the most implicit government guarantee is municipal investment bonds. In recent years, there have been an increasing number of downgrades in the credit ratings of municipal bonds, which has led some people to question whether the implicit government guarantee may affect the objectivity of the bond ratings?

Numerical Studies of Influencing Factors on the Homogeneity of the Powder Mixture during the Powder Spreading Process of Powder Bed Fusion–Laser Beam/Metal

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
AISI 304L stainless steel powder is mixed with silicon nitride (Si3N4) powder and processed by PBF‐LB/M, allowing partial retention of Si3N4. The numerical approach effectively predicts the Si3N4 powder homogeneity and N content distribution on the powder bed. Recent studies have focused on the alloying of nitrogen (N) in high‐alloy stainless steels by

Pressure Dependence of Carbon Foam Bonding Strength using Reactive Film [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
Reactive bonding film is a relatively new method of fusing materials with the potential to meet needs of particle tracker mechanics under development due to its resulting tensile strength, thermal conductivity, radiation tolerance, and low mass. Employing a new apparatus to vary pressure applied to samples during bonding, we find improved ultimate ...

Hydrogel‐Based Capacitive Sensor Model for Ammonium Monitoring in Aquaculture

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Traditional techniques for monitoring aquaculture water quality, particularly ammonium levels, harm fish. This work presents a novel capacitive sensor with an ionic hydrogel transducer to monitor ammonium concentration in real time based on the ammonium‐induced hydrogel dissociation and osmotic pressure. Monitoring aquaculture water quality, especially

Bond-Slip Behavior Between C-Shaped Steel and Foamed Concrete in CTS Composite Structural Members

open access: yesBuildings
The bond-slip behavior between cold-formed thin-walled steel (CTS) and foamed concrete (FC) is a critical issue in the mechanical performance of FC-filled CTS composite wall structures.

Evaluation of bond strength between normal concrete and high performance fiber reinforced concrete (HPFRC)

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
High Performance Fiber Reinforced Concrete (HPFRC) has been proposed to be used as a repair material for the deterioration of concrete structure since its very low porosity that leads to a low permeability and high durability.

A Case‐Based Reasoning Approach to Model Manufacturing Constraints for Impact Extrusion

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A hybrid modeling approach is presented that combines constraint‐based process modeling and case‐based reasoning. The model formalizes manufacturing constraints and integrates simulation data to model complex manufacturing processes. The approach supports manufacturability analysis during product design through an adaptive modeling environment.
