Intramolecular hydrogen bonding analysis

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2022
The quasi-atomic orbital (QUAO) bonding analysis is used to study intramolecular hydrogen bonding (IMHB) in salicylic acid and an intermediate that is crucial to the synthesis of aspirin. The bonding analysis rigorously explores IMHB through directly accessing information that is intrinsic to the molecular wave function, thereby bypassing the need for ...

Bond Valence Analysis of BaRuO3

Journal of Solid State Chemistry, 2000
Abstract The crystal structure of BaRuO3 has been derived by the bond valence method and sphere packing geometry using only the information obtained from the indexing of a powder pattern of the compound. The structural parameters derived in this way give calculated bond distances that agree with those measured experimentally to within 0.02 A.

Bond performance analysis

The Journal of Portfolio Management, 1991
40 w P erformance analysis focuses on the central goal 9 f: S of investment management: achieving superior performance. Most simply, was the portfolio up or down? More sophisticated, did the portfolio beat the market? Most sophisticated, what specific bets paid off, does the pattern of winning bets show evidence of manager skill, and, given some ...

Municipal bond rating analysis

Regional Science and Urban Economics, 1993
Abstract This paper investigates the determinants of municipal general obligation bond ratings. It offers an expanded econometric framework for analyzing this problem and contrasts various econometric specifications. We develop a method to correct for sample selection bias when the dependent variable is an ordered categorical variable and to correct ...

Corporate Bond Portfolio Analysis

The Journal of Portfolio Management, 2005
Most corporate bond portfolio managers use fundamental credit analysis in the security selection process and some form of the efficient frontier in the construction and ongoing management of their portfolios. This traditional approach, however, does not take into account the whole distribution of potential future credit losses on the portfolio and thus

Localized Bond Orbital Analysis of the Bonds of O2

The Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2020
A localized bond orbital analysis of the bonding in dioxygen and related species provides a unique fundamental insight into its bonding characteristics. It reveals the coalescence of the molecular orbital and valence bond/Lewis approaches and clearly demonstrates that the often stated inability of valence bond theory to describe the bonding of O2 is a ...

Empirical analysis of bonding in ferrocenes

Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 2006
HeI and HeII photoelectron spectra (UPS) of 1-cyanomethyl, 1-butyryl and 1, 10-bis(dimethylsilyl)-ferrocene were measured. The nature of metal– ligand bonding was analyzed via regression analysis of UPS related experimental descriptors.

Analysis of Green Bonds

2022
Issuing its first green federal security in 2020, Germany pioneered a unique twin bond concept to address potential liquidity risks compared to their conventional counterparts. A switch mechanism between green and conventional bonds was introduced that allows debt-neutral sale-and-purchase (switch) transactions by the issuing authority.
