Evaluating hydrogen‐bond donor strength
Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2000A parameter that measures hydrogen-bond donor (HBD) strength of solutes is useful in modeling many biological interactions. The solvents octanol and chloroform, have about equal HBD strength and thus will accommodate the hydrogen-bond acceptor (HBA) groups in solutes about equally well.

TDS: Bond Nature and Bond Strength
2014TDS features and work function change coincidently demonstrate four-stage bond forming kinetics and associated valence charge relaxation. The four stages include the following: (1) O1− formation, (2) O1− transition O2− with sp-orbit hybridization, (3) tetrahedron relaxation, and (4) dipole annihilation upon oxygen overdosing.
