Bone-anchored craniofacial prosthesis study: irradiated patients.

The International journal of oral & maxillofacial implants, 1996
A prospective study involving 24 treatment centers and 145 patients was conducted to evaluate the long-term osseointegration success rate for titanium implants anchoring a craniofacial prosthesis (auricular, orbital, and nasal), and to evaluate the long-term retention and stability of the prosthesis.

Ambulation With a Transfemoral Bone-Anchored Powered Knee-Ankle Prosthesis: a Case Study

2025 International Conference On Rehabilitation Robotics (ICORR)
Recent advancements in powered prosthetic leg devices offer enhanced potential for mobility for individuals with lower limb amputations; however, challenges persist, particularly for those with transfemoral amputations and short residual limbs. This study investigates the combination of a bone-anchored prosthetic interface via osseointegration and a ...

[Bone anchored auditory prosthesis. Indications, clinical and audiometric results].

Annales d'oto-laryngologie et de chirurgie cervico faciale : bulletin de la Societe d'oto-laryngologie des hopitaux de Paris, 1997
Fourteen patients with conductive or mixed hearing loss were fitted with 16 BAHA. Three patients had congenital malformation of the auditory canal. Eleven patients had sequelae after bilateral chronic otitis media. All implants were osseointegrated. In 81% of the patients, no skin reactions around the abutment occured.

Margin of Stability of Individuals Fitted with Transfemoral Bone-Anchored Prosthesis using Osseointegrated Fixation

2019
The concept of margin of stability in the medial-lateral direction introduced by Hof et al can characterize gait stability. Indeed, this margin has been presented for individuals with transtibial and transfemoral amputation fitted with socket-suspended prostheses.
