Preparation and properties of α-tricalcium phosphate microspheres by spray drying [PDF]
a-TCP microspheres were obtained by atomizing aqueous slurries containing 50 wt% of low crystallinity α-TCP and 1 wt% of citric acid. Poly(ethylene glycol) and poly(vinyl alcohol) were tested as a binder.

Abstract Background Traumatic dental injury (TDI) most often requires complex and interdisciplinary management. Several factors are associated with the success of TDI treatment, including proper treatment planning and periodontal maintenance. Methods The present 16‐year follow‐up report describes the interdisciplinary management of an extrusive ...

Impact of Manual Addition of Vancomycin to Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) Cements
(1) Background: The addition of antibiotics to bone cements is a common practice in the treatment of periprosthetic joint infections. In revision cases, the amount and type of antibiotic is often insufficient and additional antibiotics must be added. The

Abstract Background Dentitions have diversified enormously during vertebrate evolution, involving reductions, modifications, or allocations to prey seizing and processing regions. A combination of ancient and novel features related to dental and oropharyngeal apparatuses is found in extant lineages of non‐teleost fishes, such as the gars.

An algorithm for seizure detection in rodents
Abstract Objective Epilepsy animal research often relies on long‐term intracranial electroencephalographic (iEEG) recordings. Here, we describe an artificial neural network (ANN) algorithm for automatic detection of seizures. Methods The algorithm was trained on iEEG recordings of three mouse models of chronic epilepsy: (1) the pilocarpine model of ...
