Breast cysts and aluminium-based antiperspirant salts [PDF]
On the basis that aluminium-based antiperspirant salts are designed to block apocrine sweat ducts of the axilla, and that breast cysts result from blocked breast ducts in the adjacent region of the body, it has been proposed that breast cysts may arise ...

Advances in Microfluidic Cochlea‐On‐A‐Chip
This review systematically examines diverse cell sources for inner ear organoids and outlines stepwise induction protocols. Furthermore, it discusses current applications and prospective developments of cochlea‐on‐a‐chip technologies in areas such as deafness modeling, mechanistic studies, and drug evaluation, with particular focus on gene‐therapy drug

Current preclinical studies of AAV‐mediated gene therapy explore different strategies based on the characteristics of inner ear diseases. For genetic hearing loss, approaches include the replacement of a “good gene,” removal of a “bad gene,” or direct correction of mutations through base editing.

Revision Lapidus Arthrodesis by Bone Endoscopy
Revision arthrodesis is indicated in symptomatic nonunion of the first tarsometatarsal joint. Revision by first tarsometatarsal arthroscopy cannot deal with the dilated screw tract and associated bone cysts.

LRRC8A Regulates Outer Hair Cell Volume and Electromotility and is Required for Hearing
This study identifies LRRC8A‐dependent volume‐regulated anion channels (VRACs) as essential for cochlear outer hair cells' electromotility and auditory signal amplification. LRRC8A deficiency disrupts cell volume control, impairs auditory sensitivity, and causes deafness, while targeted LRRC8A re‐expression restores auditory function.
