Too Complex to Choose? The Role of Heuristics in Shaping Farmers' Willingness to Pay for Income Stabilization Tool in Italy

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT European agriculture is increasingly exposed to economic instability driven by extreme weather events, market volatility, and geopolitical tensions. To manage these growing risks, farmers are encouraged to adopt innovative risk management strategies such as the Income Stabilization Tool (IST), which offers protection against severe income ...

Embedded Morgan Fingerprints for More Efficient Molecular Property Predictions With Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
High dimensionality of Morgan fingerprints causes overfitting and slow training. Embedded Morgan Fingerprint (eMFP) compresses this encoding while keeping key structural information intact. Tested on five regression models across three databases for HOMO–LUMO gap prediction, eMFP outperforms standard fingerprints, training faster on large, high ...

From Swarm to Individual: Emergent Individuality in Light‐Mediated Robot Collectives

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Can individuality emerge from a swarm? Using nominally homogeneous phototactic robots, we show that collective light conditions reorganize robot‐level behavioral profiles. Global illumination amplifies persistent differences in state occupancy, while robot‐mounted local light cues reduce fixed differentiation and favor transient high‐switching profiles.
