On the page-number of a circulant graph

open access: yesAKCE International Journal of Graphs and Combinatorics
The page-number of a graph G, denoted by p(G), is the minimum k such that G has an embedding in a k-book. The circulant graph C(m, n) is such a graph that its vertex set is [Formula: see text] and edge set is [Formula: see text], where m, n are positive ...

Dialogue history integration into end-to-end signal-to-concept spoken language understanding systems

open access: yes, 2020
This work investigates the embeddings for representing dialog history in spoken language understanding (SLU) systems. We focus on the scenario when the semantic information is extracted directly from the speech signal by means of a single end-to-end ...

Phase‐Change Materials for Volatile Threshold Resistive Switching and Neuronal Device Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Volatile threshold switching materials are an important pathway to simulate neuronal behavior. This review summarizes recent advances in the development of volatile resistive switching devices and neuronal oscillators based on three representative phase change materials, emphasizes the major challenges in this rapidly evolving field, and provides an ...

Text Understanding with the Attention Sum Reader Network

open access: yes, 2016
Several large cloze-style context-question-answer datasets have been introduced recently: the CNN and Daily Mail news data and the Children's Book Test. Thanks to the size of these datasets, the associated text comprehension task is well suited for deep ...

Embedded contact homology and open book decompositions

open access: green, 2010
This is the first of a series of papers devoted to proving the equivalence of Heegaard Floer homology and embedded contact homology (abbreviated ECH). In this paper we prove that, given a closed, oriented, contact $3$-manifold, there is an equivalence between ECH of the closed $3$-manifold and a version of ECH, defined on the complement of the binding ...

Optimum embedding of complete graphs in books

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 1998
The author gives an embedding of the complete graph with \(n\) vertices in a book of width \(n-3\) and \(\lceil n/2 \rceil\) pages---this improves an older result that needs width \(n\) for the same number of pages. An embedding of a graph in a book is an arrangement of the vertices along the spine and edges on the pages such that no edges residing on ...

ggalign: Bridging the Grammar of Graphics and Biological Multilayered Complexity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The ggalign package provides a comprehensive framework for composable visualization built on top of ggplot2. Its primary purpose is to enable the construction of complex multi‐plot layouts with consistent observation alignment across plots, particularly for high‐dimensional data contexts such as genomics, transcriptomics, and microbiome studies ...

Topological quantum D-branes and wild embeddings from exotic smooth R^4

open access: yes, 2011
This is the next step of uncovering the relation between string theory and exotic smooth R^4. Exotic smoothness of R^4 is correlated with D6 brane charges in IIA string theory.

Inhaling Eugenol Inhibits NAFLD by Activating the Hepatic Ectopic Olfactory Receptor Olfr544 and Modulating the Gut Microbiota

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inhalable eugenol (EUG) from clove oil attenuates NAFLD by activating hepatic olfactory receptor Olfr544, triggering cAMP/PKA/CREB signaling to enhance lipolysis/oxidation. EUG concurrently restores gut microbiota, enriching probiotics (L. reuteri XR23/L. johnsonii XR25) and metabolites (IPA/5‐HIAA) that suppress lipogenesis.
