ABSTRACT Introduction Embedded pragmatic clinical trials are an ideal way to develop and evaluate evidence‐based interventions in the nursing home (NH) environment to facilitate streamlining implementation after study completion. However, there is minimal information available about the necessary and sufficient conditions of “difference makers” for ...

Lattice of weak hyper K-ideals of a hyper K-algebra [PDF]
In this note, we study the lattice structure on the class of all weak hyper K-ideals of a hyper K-algebra. We first introduce the notion of (left, right) scalar in a hyper K-algebra which help us to characterize the weak hyper K-ideals generated by a ...

On Boolean algebras which have the Vitali-Hahn-Saks property
Given a boolean algebra A, we say when A verifies the Drewnowski condition. In thepaper we prove that if a boolean algebra verifies the Drewnowski condition then A has the Vitali-Hahn-Saks property. Also other related questions are investigated.

Reflexive algebras and sigma algebras
The concept of a reflexive algebra (σ-algebra) β of subsets of a set X is defined in this paper. Various characterizations are given for an algebra (σ-algebra) β to be reflexive.

Two brief formulations of Boolean algebra
This paper presents two new formulations of Boolean algebra which appear to have some direct interest on their own account, and which further take a place among the most economical versions, while also exhibiting more intuitive clarity than other ...

A Collapse Result in the Mereology of Properties
ABSTRACT I examine five principles about the metaphysics of properties, each of which has been defended in the literature: (1) the sum of properties is their corresponding conjunctive property, (2) the mereology of properties is classical, (3) properties are individuated by necessary co‐instantiation, (4) sums of objects belonging to different ...

Completeness for the coalgebraic cover modality [PDF]
We study the finitary version of the coalgebraic logic introduced by L. Moss. The syntax of this logic, which is introduced uniformly with respect to a coalgebraic type functor, required to preserve weak pullbacks, extends that of classical propositional

Cross‐Ancestry Polygenic Prediction: Comparing Methods and Assessing Transferability Across Traits
ABSTRACT Accurate prediction of disease risk and other complex traits across different populations is essential for clinical and research purposes. However, genetic differences among ancestries, such as allelic frequencies and genetic architecture, can affect the performance of polygenic risk score (PGS) methods in cross‐ancestry prediction. To address

Information modeling of the normal forms of logical functions in Maple system [PDF]
The article discusses possible ways to use the Maple computer algebra system to obtain perfect conjunctive and disjunctive normal forms. Computer algebra systems make it possible to expand the possibilities for creating, applying and using mathematical ...
