Implementation of complete Boolean logic functions in single spin–orbit torque device

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2021
All 16 Boolean logic functions in a single Ta/CoFeB/MgO device with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy were experimentally demonstrated based on the spin–orbit torque (SOT) effect. Furthermore, by combining with the voltage-controlled magnetic anisotropy (

Index sets and Boolean operations [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1982
Hay’s thesis asserts that every naturally defined class of sets of natural numbers contains an index set which is 1 1 -complete for that class and that every index set is 1 1 -complete for some naturally defined class. We formalize "naturally defined" as "effective Boolean" and establish the thesis as a Metatheorem.

On the Origins of Toughness in Corymbia calophylla (Marri Tree) Nuts

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We uncover the natural toughening mechanisms of the marri nut, including fiber pullout, crack deflection, and a viscoelastic matrix, which enable exceptional energy absorption and ductility comparable to Teflon, with an elastic modulus similar to acrylic.

Information encryption systems based on Boolean functions [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Science Journal of Moldova, 2011
An information encryption system based on Boolean functions is proposed. Information processing is done using multidimensional matrices, performing logical operations with these matrices.

Incomplete Transition Complexity of Basic Operations on Finite Languages

open access: yes, 2013
The state complexity of basic operations on finite languages (considering complete DFAs) has been in studied the literature. In this paper we study the incomplete (deterministic) state and transition complexity on finite languages of boolean operations ...

High‐Fidelity Synthetic Data Replicates Clinical Prediction Performance in a Million‐Patient Diabetes Cohort

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study generates high‐fidelity synthetic longitudinal records for a million‐patient diabetes cohort, successfully replicating clinical predictive performance. However, deeper analysis reveals algorithmic biases and trajectory inconsistencies that escape standard quality metrics. These findings challenge current validation norms, demonstrating why a

Optimized Homomorphic Evaluation of Boolean Functions

open access: yesTransactions on Cryptographic Hardware and Embedded Systems
We propose a new framework to homomorphically evaluate Boolean functions using the Torus Fully Homomorphic Encryption (TFHE) scheme. Compared to previous approaches focusing on Boolean gates, our technique can evaluate more complex Boolean functions ...

A Bottom‐Up Design Framework for Multifunctional Lattice Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces a generative AI framework for designing multifunctional lattice metamaterials. The method combines 3D Gaussian voxel generation with deep learning, enabling greater design freedom and structural performance. The optimized lattice metamaterials achieve enhanced energy absorption by 40–200% compared to conventional structures and ...
