Latinos mobilizing beyond threats: The role of fear and hope in issue activism
Abstract Interest groups intent on spurring political participation often highlight potential threats to galvanize audiences into action. However, while loss aversion is typically seen as a strong motivator, it is important not to neglect the motivational effect of hope and reward‐seeking behavior as people navigate their political landscape.

To Grandmother's House We Go: Informal Childcare and Female Labor Mobility
ABSTRACT We document how childcare costs and the location of extended family influence the labor supply and mobility of US women. Women return to their home locations immediately before fertility events, suggesting that informal childcare needs may motivate home migration. Women who live near their parents have lower child earnings penalties.

Dynamical effects of the neutrino gravitational clustering at Planck angular scales
We study the CMB anisotropy induced by the non-linear perturbations in the massive neutrino density associated to the non-linear gravitational clustering proceses.

The lepton asymmetry: the last chance for a critical-density cosmology? [PDF]
We use a wide range of observations to constrain cosmological models possessing a significant asymmetry in the lepton sector, which offer perhaps the best chance of reconciling a critical-density Universe with current observations.

Field Theory and Colonialism: Indirect Colonial Situation as a Social Field in Egypt (1882–1922)

The Age of the Universe and the Cosmological Constant Determined from Cosmic Microwave Background Anisotropy Measurements [PDF]
If Omega_tot = 1 and structure formed from adiabatic initial conditions then the age of the Universe, as constrained by measurements of the cosmic microwave background (CMB), is t_0=14.0 +/- 0.5 Gyr.

Dialogue of the Deaf: How Deliberation With Discontented Citizens May Hopelessly Fail
ABSTRACT Governments employ public deliberation in response to citizen discontent, intending to achieve consensus, mutual understanding, and clarification. However, some studies suggest that deliberation can devolve into a “dialogue of the deaf,” where parties talk past each other, counterproductively leading to conflict, distrust, and confusion ...

Nightlife settings have been the focus of sociological inquiry for decades, with existing studies primarily focused on consumers and selective entry to elite clubs. However, workers' experiences have been largely overlooked. This study examines workers' experiences in elite nightclubs, including getting hired and interacting with managers and consumers.
