Miniaturized Ultraviolet Imager High Voltage Power Supply [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Sending satellites into orbit becomes exponentially more expensive with weight and size, so designing high-voltage DC-DC converters that can achieve kilovolt level outputs in a small form factor is crucial to reducing costs.

Thermal Runaway Detection Method for Smart Electric Bicycle Charger

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2025.
The research work introduces a novel thermal runaway detection method by using a newly developed algorithm embedded in the electric bicycle charging system. First, the relationship between the internal temperature of the battery and the phase shift of the battery impedance is derived theoretically, so that the internal parameters can be represented by ...

A new zero-ripple switching dc-to-dc converter and integrated magnetics [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
A new switching dc-to-dc converter is synthesized which consists of the least number of storage elements (inductive and capacitive) and switches, and yet truly emulates the ideally desired dc-to-dc transformer having both input and output currents as ...

Dual‐Active‐Bridge LC Resonant DC–DC Converter With an Auxiliary Boost Arm for Battery Energy Storage Systems

open access: yesIET Electrical Systems in Transportation, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
This study presents a dual‐active‐bridge (DAB) LC resonant DC–DC converter for battery energy storage systems. The proposed converter adds an auxiliary bridge arm to the traditional full‐bridge (FB) LC resonant converter as a boost arm. It features two efficient operating modes: a charging low‐gain (CLG) mode and a discharging high‐gain (DHG) mode.
