Cost‐Effective Ultra‐High Step‐Up SEPIC‐Based DC‐DC Converter Integrated With Coupled‐Inductor for Solar‐Powered DC Microgrids

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, Volume 18, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
1. A new step‐up DC‐DC converter is introduced for DC microgrids. 2. The converter integrates SEPIC structure, a coupled inductor, and voltage‐boosting cells to achieve an ultra‐high voltage gain compared to its base converters. 3. It features a common ground between input and output, minimising leakage capacitance and EMI. 4.

Maximum power point tracking‐based model predictive control with reduced sensor count for PV applications

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
Abstract This paper discusses the MPPT based on finite‐set model predictive control (FS‐MPC) in photovoltaic (PV) systems. Generally, the FS‐MPC implementation needs more sensors in comparison with the traditional methods due to the existence of the prediction stage.

DC‐DC parallel legs linked high gain converter for microgrid applications

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
Abstract For microgrid operations, this article suggests a DC‐DC Parallel Legs Linked High Gain Converter. To realize high voltage gain, the recommended converter is transformer‐free and developed with n$n$‐parallel legs. One active switch, one capacitor, one inductor, and one diode make up each leg of the boost converter.

Computer-Aided Modeling and Analysis of Power Processing Systems (CAMAPPS), phase 1 [PDF]

open access: yes
The large-signal behaviors of a regulator depend largely on the type of power circuit topology and control. Thus, for maximum flexibility, it is best to develop models for each functional block a independent modules. A regulator can then be configured by
