Isolated voltage-boosting converter

2014 International Power Electronics Conference (IPEC-Hiroshima 2014 - ECCE ASIA), 2014
In this paper, a single switch isolated voltage-boosting converter is presented, which is derived from the traditional flyback converter and charge pump concept. The proposed converter possesses an output inductor, so the output current is non-pulsating.

Dual-output boost converter

2011 IEEE Ninth International Conference on Power Electronics and Drive Systems, 2011
In this paper, a dual-output boost converter with positive and negative output voltages under a single positive voltage source fed. Due to its dual output with positive and negative output voltages, this converter is very suitable for driving the half-bridge class-D amplifier, so as to remove a DC blocking capacitor required in the half-bridge class-D ...

A Novel Voltage-boosting Converter: KY Converter

APEC 07 - Twenty-Second Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition, 2007
In this paper, a novel voltage-boosting converter, named as KY converter (i.e. one-plus-D converter) is presented herein. Unlike the traditional non-isolated boost converter, this converter possesses fast transient load responses, similar to the buck converter behavior. Besides, it possesses non-pulsating output current, thereby not only decreasing the

Predictive control of parallel boost converters

2008 34th Annual Conference of IEEE Industrial Electronics, 2008
In this paper a novel predictive control for parallel power factor correction (PFC) scheme is proposed. It is based on an optimized power sharing where the active filtering approach is used in order to increase the current quality and, at the same time, to reduce the switching losses.

Research of an interleaved boost converter with four interleaved boost convert cells

2009 Asia Pacific Conference on Postgraduate Research in Microelectronics & Electronics (PrimeAsia), 2009
Boost converters are widely used in the low-to-high DC/DC application and power-factor-corrected circuits. Based on the interleaved boost converter with coupled inductors, a converter consisting of four interleaved boost converter cells is proposed in this paper.

Fault-Tree Based Failure-Rate Analysis for Boost Converter and Interleaved Boost Converter

Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology, 2019
The conventional part failure analysis only takes into account the type, number, and connection status of the components, so failure rates according to the operating characteristics of the converter cannot be reflected. On the other hand, FTA uses a fault-tree showing cause, effect, and result of the fault, so it can predict the failure-rate ...

Boost Converter — Battery Discharger

2003
In Fig. 6-1, a simple, non-isolated DC-DC boost converter is shown. The converter employs peak current, current-mode control in regulating the main switch’s on/off duty cycle, which in turn regulates the output voltage V0.

Comparison of Boost-Type ĆUK'S PWM-Resonant Converter with Conventional Boost Converter

2018 2nd International Symposium on Multidisciplinary Studies and Innovative Technologies (ISMSIT), 2018
In this study, boost-type Cuk's PWM-resonant converter is compared with the conventional boost converter in terms of required inductor size, efficiency, and dynamic response. The inductor sizes required by both topologies are selected based upon the core geometrical constant design method.
