Dispersion cancellation in high resolution two-photon interference [PDF]
The dispersion cancellation observed in Hong-Ou-Mandel (HOM) interference between frequency-entangled photon pairs has been the basis of quantum optical coherence tomography and quantum clock synchronization.

Preparation and Dielectric Measurements of Niobium Pentaoxide Doped Barium Strontium Titanate Glass and Glass Ceramics [PDF]
(Ba0.2Sr0.8)TiO3-B2O3-K2O based glass as well as glass ceramic with and without 0.1 mol % Nb2O5 were developed by the conventional melt quench method. XRD and FTIR spectra of the glass samples confirms the formation of amorphous structure and presence of

Polarization entangled state measurement on a chip
The emerging strategy to overcome the limitations of bulk quantum optics consists of taking advantage of the robustness and compactness achievable by the integrated waveguide technology. Here we report the realization of a directional coupler, fabricated

The structural response of network former mixing in barium borosilicate glasses: Part 1
This is a joint experimental and theoretical investigation of the structural response of the mixed network‐former effect along the barium diborate–disilicate join. Theory and spectroscopy, including NMR, Raman, and FTIR, reveal that the highest network connectivity corresponds to the highest atomic packing density. Abstract A glass series with constant

Simultaneous minimum-uncertainty measurement of discrete-valued complementary observables
We have made the first experimental demonstration of the simultaneous minimum uncertainty product between two complementary observables for a two-state system (a qubit). A partially entangled two-photon state was used to perform such measurements.

Diagnosis, prescription and prognosis of a Bell-state filter by quantum process tomography
Using a Hong-Ou-Mandel interferometer, we apply the techniques of quantum process tomography to characterize errors and decoherence in a prototypical two-photon operation, a singlet-state filter.

Quantum-inspired interferometry with chirped laser pulses
We introduce and implement an interferometric technique based on chirped femtosecond laser pulses and nonlinear optics. The interference manifests as a high-visibility (> 85%) phase-insensitive dip in the intensity of an optical beam when the two ...

Emission analysis of RE3+ (Eu3+, Tb3+ & Ho3+) : B2O3–BaOLiF/AIF3 glasses [PDF]
We report here the luminescence spectra of certain rare earth ions (Eu3+, Tb3+ & Ho3+) doped B2O3-BaO-LiF/AiF3 based on the measurements of emission and decay curves of prominent emission transitions.
