Optical and radiation shielding features for a new series of borate glass samples
Optik (Stuttgart), 2021A series of borate glass (80-y)B2O3-10ZnO-10CdO-yBaO, where 10 ≤ y ≤ 30, was synthesized by the melt quench method. The durability and optical features were explored to study the structural features.

Preparation and characterization of sintered bioactive borate glass tape
Materials letters (General ed.), 2021Non-aqueous tape casting was used to prepare flexible green tapes from borate glass (1393B3) particles. The tapes were sintered at 550, 575, 600 °C: dense tapes were prepared at 600 °C. In-vitro bioactivity in simulated body fluid (SBF) of tapes sintered

Bioactivity of microporous borate glass-ceramics prepared from solution and derived glasses
, 2021Microporous borate compositions based on the formula xB2O3•(100–x)(0.5CaO•0.45Na2O•0.05P2O5) (x = 56.1 and 51.1 mol%) have been prepared from solution. The dried products were subjected to heat-treatment at 600 and 700 °C for 3 h to obtain borate glass ...

Crystallization of bismuth borate glasses
Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter, 2008Bismuth borate glasses with Bi(2)O(3) concentration of 20-66 mol% were prepared by melt quenching and devitrified by heat treatment above their glass transition temperatures. All glasses show a strong tendency towards crystallization on annealing that increases with Bi(2)O(3) concentration.

Effect of borate glass network to electrochemical properties: Manganese-doped lithium borate glasses
Radiation Physics and Chemistry, 2020Abstract Recent development of manganese-lithium borate glasses for applications as supercapacitor was reported. The glasses were prepared by melt-quench technique and characterized by x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and Uv–visible spectroscopy (UV-VIS).

Ultrasonic relaxations in borate glasses
Materials Science and Engineering: A, 2004The attenuation and velocity of ultrasonic waves of frequencies in the range from 10 to 70MHz have been measured in M2OB2O3 borate glasses (M: Li or Ag) as a function of temperature between 15 and 350 K. The velocity of sound waves decreases with increasing temperature in all the glasses, the decrease as the temperature is increased is larger in ...

Thermoluminescence of Borate Glass Containing Copper
Radiation Protection Dosimetry, 1983Abstract Thermoluminescence (TL) of X ray irradiated borate glass containing copper (0.01 to 1.0 mol%) has been studied. Samples were made from mixtures of B2O3 and CuCl2. They were melted at 1100 oC for 1 hour in a platinum crucible followed by annealing in a brass mould.
