A one‐dimensional sp2‐carbon covalent organic framework with spatially segregated redox centers integrates a dual photosensitizing system and a cationic interface for synergistic photocatalysis. The material achieves exceptional palladium recovery (1749 mg g−1) and bisphenol A mineralization (0.1710 min−1) without sacrificial agents, demonstrating ...

On the Anionic Group Approximation to the Borate Nonlinear Optical Materials
In this mini-review type of article, a brief summary of the anionic group approximation as it relates to the borate nonlinear optical (NLO) crystals, an idea firstly proposed by Professor Chen, is presented. The basic idea, calculation method, tabulated ...

The modulation of polar tetrahedra enabled the synthesis of an outstanding short‐wave UV NLO crystal, Zn(C2H4NO2)2[SO2(NH2)2], which achieves a rare balance of a large bandgap (5.93 eV), high birefringence (Δn = 0.126 at 546 nm), and strong SHG response (1.36 × KDP), especially achieving excellent phase‐matching throughout the full transparency range ...

A novel optical thermometer exploits the rare UV emission of Yb2+ ions in a SrB4O7 host, enabling highly sensitive, non‐contact temperature measurements from 80 to 420 K. The applied multiple linear regression (MLR) analysis results in a multiple increase in the resulting temperature sensitivity.

Enhanced Stability in Zero‐Excess Li‐Metal Batteries via Prelithiated Carbon Nanofiber Interlayers
Carbon nanofibers carbonized at 700°C show Li metal deposition predominantly on the side facing the Cu current collector. During delithiation, Li agglomerates remain as inactive lithium on the fiber surface. This behavior can be changed by a modified n‐Buli prelithiation without a washing step, suppressing dead Li formation and therefore enabling ...

A bandgap‐engineered PtxTey:Ag2Te quantum dot platform enables tunable NIR‐IIb emission for deep‐tissue imaging and mild photothermal therapy. Conjugation with αPD‐L1 confers dual tumor targeting and real‐time monitoring of PD‐L1 dynamics. Mild photothermal modulation induces immune reprogramming, enhancing checkpoint blockade efficacy and achieving ...

Life with Boron: Steroid Architecture and the Chemistry of Marine Boronosteroids
Marine invertebrates produce a remarkable diversity of polyhydroxylated steroids and secosteroids whose structural features—particularly vicinal (1,2-)diols, 1,3-diols, and clustered hydroxyl arrays—make them well suited for coordination with boron ...
