A stress wave propagation model for coal‐rock combinations under in situ stress was established. Taking a coal mine in Huainan, China as the engineering background, isotropic and anisotropic numerical models were constructed. Field engineering practices were carried out to verify the reliability of the conclusions.

One‐way FLAC3D‐COMSOL coupled modeling and field validation show that a 150 mm borehole radius with 5 m spacing provides the best coordination of plastic‐zone expansion, stress relief, permeability enhancement, and gas‐pressure attenuation, increasing the pure gas drainage rate by 35.4%. ABSTRACT To rationally determine the borehole radius and borehole

Integrated petrographic, mineralogical and geochemical data from the Hastanetepe Pb–Zn deposit (Balya, Türkiye) reveal multi‐stage hydrothermal alteration and a magmatic sulphur source. Fluid inclusion and sulphur isotope results indicate a complex fluid evolution responsible for skarn‐type Pb–Zn mineralization along limestone–dacite contacts ...

3D DAS VSP for Coal Seam Exploration: A Case Study from Queensland, Australia
Seismic methods are extensively used in coal mining for expanding resource discoveries and definition as well as for mine monitoring. However, the use of borehole seismic methods is relatively uncommon due to the high cost of borehole seismic acquisition

ABSTRACT Objective With the global increase in aging populations, the prevalence of osteoporosis is rising. Current preventive and therapeutic strategies remain limited. The present study aimed to investigate the effects of hemp seed protein (HSP) and its hydrolysis‐derived bioactive peptides (HPH) on osteogenic differentiation and to elucidate their ...

ABSTRACT Field visits are common phenomena with non‐governmental organisations in Uganda. During these visits, Ugandan national staff guide visitors on series of meetings and interactions in the field. Following an actor‐oriented approach and drawing on ethnographic data on 14 field visits, this paper understands the field visit as a microcosm for the ...

The Osmium Isotope Signature of Phanerozoic Large Igneous Provinces
Exploring the links between Large Igneous Provinces and dramatic environmental impact
An emerging consensus suggests that Large Igneous Provinces (LIPs) and Silicic LIPs (SLIPs) are a significant driver of dramatic global environmental and biological changes, including mass extinctions.
