A note on generalised information criteria for structured sparse models

open access: yesInternational Statistical Review, EarlyView.
Summary We propose a generalised information criteria ( gic) that accounts for sparsity pattern in the model. We obtain both asymptotic and nonasymptotic results for model selection. Moreover, we show that the gic is useful for selecting the regularisation parameter in regularised m$$ m $$ estimation in high‐dimensional scenarios.

Selectors for Borel sets with large sections

open access: yes, 1983
We prove a result asserting the existence of a Borel selector for a Borel set in the product of two Polish spaces. This subsumes a number of results about Borel selectors for Borel sets having large sections.

Borel type asymptotic relation for entire Dirichlet series and $h$-measure of an exceptional sets

open access: yesМатематичні Студії
There are presented sufficient conditions for the entire Dirichlet series with monotonically increasing  sequence of exponents providing validity of Borel-type relation outside some set $E$ of finite $h$-measure, i.e. $m_h E=\int_E dh(x)

A note on Riemann integrability

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1978
In this note we define Riemann integrabillty for real valued functions defined on a compact metric space accompanied by a finite Borel measure. If the measure of each open ball equals the measure of its corresponding closed ball, then a bounded function ...

Intermittent hypoxia increases lipid insulin resistance in healthy humans: A randomized crossover trial

open access: yesJournal of Sleep Research, Volume 34, Issue 2, April 2025.
This scheme illustrates the main results of the present study showing an increase in circulating free fatty acids (FFA) that are likely to be related to several mechanisms like decrease in FFA insulin sensitivity and increase in FFA production. Significant changes are labelled in white, and non‐significant or hypothesis are labelled in pale green ...

Bethe Vectors of Quantum Integrable Models with GL(3) Trigonometric R-Matrix

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2013
We study quantum integrable models with GL(3) trigonometric $R$-matrix and solvable by the nested algebraic Bethe ansatz.Using the presentation of the universal Bethe vectors in terms of projections of products of the currents of the quantum affine ...

THE PROGRAM ITERATIONS METHOD IN GAME PROBLEM OF GUIDANCE AND SET-VALUED QUASISTRATEGIES

open access: yesUral Mathematical Journal, 2016
We consider a differential game of guidance-evasion, which is solved with the program iterations method. The iterated procedure is realized in the space of sets, the elements of which are the game's positions.

Remarks Connected with the Weak Limit of Iterates of Some Random-Valued Functions and Iterative Functional Equations

open access: yesAnnales Mathematicae Silesianae, 2020
The paper consists of two parts. At first, assuming that (Ω, A, P) is a probability space and (X, ϱ) is a complete and separable metric space with the σ-algebra 𝒝 of all its Borel subsets we consider the set 𝒭c of all 𝒝 ⊗ 𝒜-measurable and contractive in ...

Borel Sets Via Games

open access: yesThe Annals of Probability, 1981
A family of games $G = G(\sigma, u)$ is defined such that (a) for each $\sigma$ the set of all $u$ for which Player I can force a win in $G(\sigma, u)$ is a Borel set $B(u)$ and (b) every Borel set is a $B(u)$ for some $u$.
