On Commuting Varieties of Nilradicals of Borel Subalgebras of Reductive Lie Algebras [PDF]
AbstractLet G be a connected reductive algebraic group defined over an algebraically closed field of characteristic 0. We consider the commuting variety of the nilradical of the Lie algebra of a Borel subgroup B of G. In case B acts on with only a finite number of orbits, we verify that is equidimensional and that the irreducible components are ...

Classification of Compatible Parabolic Subalgebras for Complex Symmetric Pairs
In this paper, we shall recall and arrange the relationship between hyperbolic elements and parabolic subalgebras at first. And then, we shall classify all the compatible parabolic subalgebras containing a τ-stable Borel subalgebra for complex symmetric ...

Traces on the uniform tracial completion of Z$\mathcal {Z}$‐stable C∗${\rm C}^*$‐algebras
Abstract The uniform tracial completion of a C∗${\rm C}^*$‐algebra A$A$ with compact trace space T(A)≠∅$T(A) \ne \emptyset$ is obtained by completing the unit ball with respect to the uniform 2‐seminorm ∥a∥2,T(A)=supτ∈T(A)τ(a∗a)1/2$\Vert a\Vert _{2,T(A)}=\sup _{\tau \in T(A)} \tau (a^*a)^{1/2}$. The trace problem asks whether every trace on the uniform

Strong subgroup recurrence and the Nevo–Stuck–Zimmer theorem
Abstract Let Γ$\Gamma$ be a countable group and Sub(Γ)$\mathrm{Sub}(\Gamma)$ its Chabauty space, namely, the compact Γ$\Gamma$‐space consisting of all subgroups of Γ$\Gamma$. We call a subgroup Δ∈Sub(Γ)$\Delta \in \mathrm{Sub}(\Gamma)$ a boomerang subgroup if for every γ∈Γ$\gamma \in \Gamma$, γniΔγ−ni→Δ$\gamma ^{n_i} \Delta \gamma ^{-n_i} \rightarrow ...

Borel Subalgebras of Root-Reductive Lie Algebras
This paper generalizes the classification in a paper of Dimitrov and Penkov of Borel subalgebras of gl_infty. Root-reductive Lie algebras are direct limits of finite-dimensional reductive Lie algebras along inclusions preserving the root spaces with respect to nested Cartan subalgebras.

Homological properties of quantised Borel-Schur algebras and resolutions of quantised Weyl modules [PDF]
We continue the development of the homological theory of quan- tum general linear groups previously considered by the first author. The development is used to transfer information to the representation theory of quantised Schur algebras.

Orbifold Kodaira–Spencer maps and closed‐string mirror symmetry for punctured Riemann surfaces
Abstract When a Weinstein manifold admits an action of a finite abelian group, we propose its mirror construction following the equivariant 2D TQFT‐type construction, and obtain as a mirror the orbifolding of the mirror of the quotient with respect to the induced dual group action. As an application, we construct an orbifold Landau–Ginzburg mirror of a

A comparison of Hochschild homology in algebraic and smooth settings
Abstract Consider a complex affine variety V∼$\tilde{V}$ and a real analytic Zariski‐dense submanifold V$V$ of V∼$\tilde{V}$. We compare modules over the ring O(V∼)$\mathcal {O} (\tilde{V})$ of regular functions on V∼$\tilde{V}$ with modules over the ring C∞(V)$C^\infty (V)$ of smooth complex valued functions on V$V$.

Averaging multipliers on locally compact quantum groups
Abstract We study an averaging procedure for completely bounded multipliers on a locally compact quantum group with respect to a compact quantum subgroup. As a consequence we show that central approximation properties of discrete quantum groups are equivalent to the corresponding approximation properties of their Drinfeld doubles.
