Long-term reproducibility of Borg scale estimates of breathlessness during exercise
Clinical Science, 19911. The intensity of breathlessness in normal subjects during exercise was measured on seven occasions over a 40-week study period to assess the long-term repeatability of Borg scale estimates of breathlessness. 2. In all subjects there was a significant correlation (P = 0.0001) between breathlessness and minute ventilation.

Reproducibility of Borg Scale Measurements of Dyspnea During Exercise in Patients With COPD
Chest, 1995The purpose of this study was to evaluate the moderate term (5 weeks) reproducibility of Borg scale ratings of the effort to breathe (Borge) and the degree of discomfort evoked by breathing (Borgd) in patients with COPD during exercise. Six subjects with moderately severe COPD (FEV1, 1.42 +/- 0.50 L) underwent progressive incremental exercise (15 W/min)

The Borg Scale Validation for a Consumer Product - Automobile Polishes
Proceedings of the Human Factors Society Annual Meeting, 1984The Borg scale which is purported to correlate subjectively perceived heart rate with objective physiological workload was tested for its predictive utility by subjects using 5 different car wax formulations. Subjects applied and removed the waxes from a high gloss painted panel.
