Born-Infeld/gravity correspondence [PDF]
In this paper we explore the correspondence between four-dimensional Born-Infeld theory and five-dimensional classical gravity. The Born-Infeld theory side corresponds to the low-energy effective theory for open strings ending on coincident D3-branes in a (slowly varying) background Kalb-Ramond field, including all higher-derivative corrections. On the

Monopoles in non-Abelian Einstein-Born-Infeld Theory [PDF]
We study static spherically symmetric monopole solutions in non-Abelian Einstein-Born-Infeld-Higgs model with normal trace structure. These monopoles are similar to the corresponding solution with symmetrised trace structure and are existing only up to ...

Quartic quasi-topological-Born–Infeld gravity [PDF]
In this paper, quartic quasi-topological black holes in the presence of a nonlinear electromagnetic Born-Infeld field is presented. By using the metric parameters, the charged black hole solutions of quasi-topological Born-Infeld gravity is considered.

Anisotropic Born-Infeld Cosmologies
Anisotropic cosmological spacetimes are constructed from spherically symmetric solutions to Einstein's equations coupled to nonlinear electrodynamics and a positive cosmological constant. This is accomplished by finding solutions in which the roles of $r$ and $t$ are interchanged for all $r>0$ (i.e.

Testing Born-Infeld Electrodynamics in Waveguides [PDF]
Waveguides can be employed to test non-linear effects in electrodynamics. We solve Born-Infeld equations for TE waves in a rectangular waveguide. We show that the energy velocity acquires a dependence on the amplitude, and harmonic components appear as a consequence of the non-linear behavior.

Manifest Duality in Born–Infeld Theory [PDF]
Born–Infeld theory is formulated using an infinite set of gauge fields, along the lines of McClain, Wu and Yu. In this formulation electromagnetic duality is generated by a fully local functional. The resulting consistency problems are analyzed and the formulation is shown to be consistent.

Perturbations around the AdS Born-Infeld black holes
We study the quasinormal mode of the perturbation of the scalar field interacting with the electromagnetic field in the backgrounds of Schwarzschild AdS black hole, the Reissner-Nordstrom AdS black hole and the Born-Infeld AdS black hole.

Non‐abelian Born‐Infeld revisited
Summary: We discuss the non-abelian Born-Infeld action, including fermions, as a series in \(\alpha'\). We review recent work establishing the complete result to \({\alpha'}^2\), and its impact on our earlier attempts to derive the Born-Infeld action using \(\kappa\)-symmetry.
