Preparation and properties of magnetic metal powders obtained by a borohydride reduction process

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 1990
Abstract Experimental data are presented on pairs of magnetic metal powders with different compositions and magnetic properties obtained by a borohydride method in the presence (type I powders) and absence (type M powders) of a magnetic field. The density of the chains is found to be 0.957 (equal to that of Kondorskii) for type I and 0.743 (the value

ChemInform Abstract: SODIUM BOROHYDRIDE REDUCTION OF COBALOXIME COMPLEXES. AN ELECTRON‐TRANSFER, FREE‐RADICAL PROCESS

Chemischer Informationsdienst, 1985

A Mössbauer study of hydrogen in powders obtained by a borohydride reduction process

AIP Conference Proceedings, 1991
The amorphous powders obtained by a borohydride reduction process are investigated by Mossbauer spectroscopy. It is established that hydrogen included in globules and in the interglobular space reduces ions Fe3+ to Fe2+ and to α‐Fe and causes a solid state phase chemical transition process in a crystallization.

Study of the interglobular structure of metal powders obtained by a borohydride reduction process

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 1985
Abstract The effect of borohydride reduction duration and magnetic field in the specific surface area, metal particle size and form, and form and dimensions of the textural arrangement of pores in metal powders is investigated. It is established that the particle chains formed involve interglobular voids, i.e.

Complex formation in solutions for chemical synthesis of nanoscaled particles prepared by borohydride reduction process

Nanostructured Materials, 1999
Abstract Complex forming agents are often used in chemical synthesis of nanoscale particles by means of a borohydride reduction process. Their influence on the rate of nucleation and a growth of particles without oxide/hydroxides shell are estimated earlier. In this paper experimental data are presented about the synthesis of Fe-Nd-B-H particles from

Optimal extractive and reductive desulfurization process using sodium borohydride in situ generated via sodium metaborate electroreduction in ionic liquid

Chemical Engineering and Processing - Process Intensification, 2020
Abstract In order to lower desulfurization cost, the NaBH4 preparation via NaBO2 electroreduction was introduced into the integrated process of extraction and reductive desulfurization. Accordingly, a novel desulfurization method was developed where NaBH4 can be recycled at the same time as desulfurization.

Preparation of PdAu/C-Sb2O5·SnO2 electrocatalysts by borohydride reduction process for direct formic acid fuel cell

Ionics, 2013
Pd/C-Sb2O5·SnO2 and PdAu/C-Sb2O5·SnO2 electrocatalysts with different PdAu atomic ratio (90:10, 70:30, and 50:50) were prepared by borohydride reduction method, and characterized by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperommetry, and performance test on direct formic acid fuel cell at 100 °C.

Mild Process for Reductive Desulfurization of Diesel Fuel Using Sodium Borohydride in Situ Generated via Sodium Metaborate Electroreduction

Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, 2013
A novel integrated process was proposed for reductive desulfurization of diesel fuel, in which the reductant sodium borohydride (NaBH4) was in situ generated via sodium metaborate (NaBO2) electroreduction. In order to improve the conversion rate of BO2– into BH4–, NaBO2 electroreduction was fulfilled by applying pulse voltage and using a boron-doped ...

Direct oxidation of methane at low temperature using Pt/C, Pd/C, Pt/C-ATO and Pd/C-ATO electrocatalysts prepared by sodium borohydride reduction process

Journal of Fuel Chemistry and Technology, 2018
Abstract The main objective of this paper was to characterize the voltammetric profiles of the Pt/C, Pt/C-ATO, Pd/C and Pd/C-ATO electrocatalysts and study their catalytic activities for methane oxidation in an acidic electrolyte at 25°C and in a direct methane proton exchange membrane fuel cell at 80°C.
