One-Pot Synthesis of Dealloyed AuNi Nanodendrite as a Bifunctional Electrocatalyst for Oxygen Reduction and Borohydride Oxidation Reaction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
A novel one-pot approach for synthesizing the dealloyed nanomaterials at room temperature is introduced for the first time. In such a synthetic strategy, applying modulated potentials effectively simplifies the traditional dealloying route, which usually

Photogenerated Oxetanes as a Gateway to Uphill Cyclopropanation

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
An atom‐economical route to densely functionalized cyclopropanes from furans and photochemically activated aldehydes is enabled by a unique oxetane‐to‐cyclopropane rearrangement. These cyclopropanes can be used to access complex bioactive scaffolds and serve as a platform for asymmetric cyclopropane synthesis.

Nitrate removal from aqueous solution using natural zeolite-supported zero-valent iron nanoparticles

open access: yesSoil and Water Research, 2014
A report on the synthesis and characterization of nanoscale zero-valent iron in the presence of natural zeolite as a stabilizer is presented. This novel adsorbent (Ze-nZVI) was synthesized by the sodium borohydride reduction method. The scanning electron

Effective reduction of graphene oxide using sulfur dioxide-containing chemical compounds

open access: yes, 2019
The success of the graphene oxide reduction process depends on how similar the product is to pristine graphene. Sulfur oxide, which is a significant industrial waste gas, can be used in the reduction of graphene oxide.
