Boron-doped graphene from boron-doped copper substrate for self-powered photodetector

Materials Science and Engineering: B, 2021
Abstract We investigate a method to prepare boron-doped graphene (BG) using a boron-doped copper film as both the substrate for graphene growth and the boron dopant source. About 1.6 at.% of boron was incorporated in the BG film. The BG had a bilayer structure, whereas the undoped pristine graphene (PrG) had a monolayer structure.

Boron “Doped” Polyacetylenes

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2017
We report the synthesis and characterization of a novel series of main-chain boron-containing conjugated polymers (CPs), boron "doped" polyacetylenes (BPAs), which represent the first examples of main-chain boron-containing CPs without aromatic moieties within the polymer backbone, potentially enhancing electronic delocalization along the main-chain ...

Boron doped graphene nanostructures

physica status solidi (b), 2008
AbstractWe present results from an ab initio study of metallized semiconducting graphene nanostructures. Our model system consists of an alternating chain of quasi– planar B7 clusters embedded into a semiconducting armchair nanoribbon. We observe the appearance of overlapping bands around the Fermi‐level, with crystal momenta pointing into the ...

Boron‐doped molybdenum silicides

Advanced Materials, 1996
Replacement materials for the superalloys currently used in gas turbine engines are needed if the operating temperature—and thus efficiency—is to be increased. Candidates include ceramics (which have problems with low fracture toughness) and intermetallics. The materials discussed here consist of a Mo5Si3 matrix combined with one or two other phases to

Boron-doped carbon microspheres

Materials Chemistry and Physics, 2009
Abstract: A chemical vapor deposition (CVD) procedure has been used for the synthesis of boron-doped carbon microspheres (CSMs) using BF3/MeOH as the boron source, and acetylene as the carbon source. The boron-doped carbon microsphere samples were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Raman spectroscopy and laser ablation mass ...
