Boronizing of electroplated steel
Metal Science and Heat Treatment of Metals, 1962The process of boronizing steel takes different forms for steels plated with different metals. On nickel-plated specimens the structure of the boronized layer is normal. Layers of copper on specimen surfaces prevent boron from diffusing into the underlying steel, and may serve as a means of protecting non-working surfaces of articles in selective ...

Positron lifetime in boron steel
Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 1991The synchronous rolling and asynchronous rolling of boron steel B3F by positron annihilation have been studied. The experimental results show that asynchronous rolling can not only reduce the rolling pressure, but can also improve the mechanical properties of the materials.
