Chemical vapor deposition and characterization of nitrogen doped TiO2 thin films on glass substrates [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Photocatalytically active, N-doped TiO2 thin films were prepared by low pressure metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) using titanium tetra-iso-propoxide (TTIP) as a precursor and NH3 as a reactive doping gas.

Thermal Processing Creates Water‐Stable PEDOT:PSS Films for Bioelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 13, April 2, 2025.
Instead of using chemical cross–linkers, it is shown that PEDOT:PSS thin films for bioelectronics become water‐stable after a simple heat treatment. The heat treatment is compatible with a range of rigid and elastomeric substrates and films are stable in vivo for >20 days.

Sputtered titania borosilicate glass films

open access: yesThin Solid Films, 1991
Abstract Moderately high refractive index titania borosilicate glasses are sputtered into glassy films. Deposition parameters are used to control the stoichiometry and optical properties of the films. Compositions unobtainable by batch melting are achieved with TiO 2 levels up to 47 mol.%.

Toughened uni-piece fibrous insulation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
A porous body of fibrous, low density silica-based insulation material is at least in part impregnated with a reactive boron oxide containing borosilicate glass frit, a silicon tetraboride fluxing agent and a molybdenum silicide emittance agent.

Quantitative AFM analysis of phase separated borosilicate glass surfaces

open access: yes, 2006
Phase separated borosilicate glass samples were prepared by applying various heat treatments. Using selective chemical etching we performed AFM measurement on the phase separated glass surfaces.

Tailored Redox‐Active Catholytes Enabling High‐Rate and High‐Loading All‐Solid‐State Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study explores iodine substitution in solid electrolytes to overcome sluggish redox kinetics and poor charge transport in all‐solid‐state Li‐S batteries. The resulting iodine‐rich, amorphous phase and superionic, nanocrystalline domains enable effective redox mediation and provide a robust ionic percolation network.

Low-firing, temperature stable and improved microwave dielectric properties of ZnOTiO2Nb2O5 composite ceramics

open access: yesJournal of Materiomics, 2019
This article presents low-firing, low-loss and temperature stable ZnOTiO2Nb2O5 microwave dielectric composite ceramics with the assistance of lithium borosilicate (LBS) and zinc borosilicate (ZBS) glass frits. There is a liquid phase (eutectic mixture)

Tailoring surface interactions, contact angles, drop topologies and self-assembly using laser irradiation

open access: yes, 2012
UV laser irradiation (lambda = 193 nm), below and above damage thresholds, is used to both alter and pattern the surface properties of borosilicate slides to tune and control the contact angle of a water drop over the surface.

Effect of microstructural evolution on magnetic properties of Ni thin films [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Copyright © Indian Academy of Sciences. The magnetic properties of Ni thin films, in the range 20–500 nm, at the crystalline-nanocrystalline interface are reported. The effect of thickness, substrate and substrate temperature has been studied.
