Formation Evaluation In The Seeligson And Borregos Fields
Formation Evaluation Symposium, 1955Abstract Formation evaluation techniques have been particularly applicable in the Seeligson and Borregos fields because of the widely diversified conditions encountered in the multi-reservoir producing area. Information on the acquisition, utilization, and benefits of formation evaluation data in these fields is ...

Borrego mountain earthquake of April 8, 1968
Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America, 1970The strongest earthquake (M6.5) to strike California in more than 15 years hit the western edge of the Imperial Valley near Borrego Mountain at 6:29 p.m. (PST) April 8, 1968. The location of the shock in a largely undeveloped area was apparently responsible for the generally light structural damage and absence of serious injury.

Borregos Field Surfactant Pilot Test
Journal of Petroleum Technology, 1975A pilot test of petroleum sulfonate flooding was conducted during the mid-1960's in the Borregosfield, Kleberg County, Tex. The test was run in a heterogeneous Frio sand containing considerable montmorillonite. Oil recovery was limited by excessive fractionation of the injected petroleum sulfonate and by poor sweep efficiency.

A gyroscopic seismometer: Measurements during the borrego earthquake
Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America, 1969abstract The gyro seismometer, consisting of two counter-rotating pendulous Nordsieck gyroscopes, permits separation of tilts from horizontal motion. Sensitivity is limited by the accuracy with which the gyro orientation can be measured, ∼1 arcsecond rms in a 0.5 Hz bandwidth.
