Sampling Strategy: An Overlooked Factor Affecting Artificial Intelligence Prediction Accuracy of Peptides’ Physicochemical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
This study reveals that sampling strategy (i.e., sampling size and approach) is a foundational prerequisite for building accurate and generalizable AI models in peptide discovery. Reaching a threshold of 7.5% of the total tetrapeptide sequence space was essential to ensure reliable predictions.

Hydrogen Borrowing Catalysis with Secondary Alcohols: A New Route for the Generation of β-Branched Carbonyl Compounds.

open access: yesJournal of the American Chemical Society, 2017
A hydrogen borrowing reaction employing secondary alcohols and Ph* (Me5C6) ketones to give β-branched carbonyl products is described (21 examples). This new C-C bond forming process requires low loadings of [Cp*IrCl2]2, relatively low temperatures, and ...

Hydrogen‐Borrowing Alcohol Bioamination with Coimmobilized Dehydrogenases

open access: yesChemCatChem, 2018
The amination of alcohols is an important transformation in chemistry. The redox‐neutral (i.e., hydrogen‐borrowing) asymmetric amination of alcohols is enabled by the combination of an alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) with an amine dehydrogenase (AmDH).
