Targeted Airborne eDNA of an Invasive Wallaby: Effects of Sampler Type, Distance, and Environmental Conditions

open access: yesEnvironmental DNA, Volume 8, Issue 1, January–February 2026.
Airborne eDNA detection of terrestrial vertebrates is influenced by sampler design, distance, and environmental conditions. Using a targeted qPCR assay, we show that active sampling and coarse‐particle filters significantly improve airborne detection of wallabies, with airborne eDNA detectable at 1 km distances and strongly modulated by sampler ...

Comparing Watershed‐Based eDNA Sampling and Camera Trapping for Assessing Mammal Diversity in North‐Western Bhutan

open access: yesEnvironmental DNA, Volume 8, Issue 1, January–February 2026.
We collected environmental DNA (eDNA) from river and stream water samples and processed it through DNA extraction, amplification and metabarcoding. Species were identified from sequence data and compared with camera trapping data to evaluate the effectiveness of eDNA for monitoring wild mammals in north‐western Bhutan.

SARS‐CoV‐2 mRNA Vaccination Leads to Transient Humoral and B Cell Bystander Responses in Adults

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Immunology, Volume 56, Issue 1, January 2026.
SARS‐CoV‐2 mRNA vaccination triggers bystander activation of B cells, transiently increasing antibody levels after the first vaccination against influenza, RSV, and tetanus. Reactivation of B cell responses also occurred, where (CD11c+) MBC and DN3 are expanded after SARS‐CoV‐2 mRNA vaccination, independent of antigen exposure.

Characterization and Comparison of Milk Fat Globule Membrane Proteins, Whey Protein Concentrate, and Micellar Casein Concentrate

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
This study compared milk fat globule membrane protein (MFGMP) with whey protein concentrate (WPC) and micellar casein concentrate (MCC). The results revealed MFGMP's superior structural stability and amino acid profile, identified its unique proteomic landscape through label‐free quantification, and demonstrated its enhanced in vitro digestibility ...
