Effective bosonic hamiltonian for excitons : a too naive concept [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Excitons, being made of two fermions, may appear from far as bosons. Their close-to-boson character is however quite tricky to handle properly. Using our commutation technique especially designed to deal with interacting close-to-boson particles, we here calculate the exact expansion in Coulomb interaction of theexciton-exciton correlations, and show ...

Boson boson scattering at LHC

open access: yes, 2005
We analyse some features of WW scattering processes at LHC. The severe cancellations between fusion diagrams and the other contributions evidence the necessity of complete calculations for studying the high WW invariant mass region and disentangling the standard Higgs case from new physics.

Search for a Higgs-like boson decaying into bottom quarks in the Z(II)H channel

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2013
After the discovery of a Higgs-like Boson with a mass close to 125 GeV at the LHC in summer 2012, we are showing the update on the analysis of the VH cannel. In this channel the Higgs-like Boson is produced in association with a vector boson and decaying

Searches for the Higgs-like boson decaying into bottom quarks in the WH channel

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2013
The most important finding of the LHC so far was the discovery of the Higgs-like boson at 125 GeV in 2012. We present the most recent results of the search for the Higgs-like boson decaying into bottom quarks, when produced in association with a W boson.

Mixing-demixing transition in one-dimensional boson-fermion mixtures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Mixing-demixing transitions in one-dimensional mixtures of fermions and bosons are numerically investigated. With Monte Carlo simulations, we searched the transitions by changing various parameters such as number densities of each component, fermion-boson interactions, boson-boson interactions, and hopping energies.

Universal Multiport Interferometers for Post‐Selected Multi‐Photon Gates

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, EarlyView.
New photonic post‐selected controlled gates, like CNOT and Toffoli gates, are found by using dual‐rail path encoding, auxiliary single photons and universal multiport interferometers. These results show not only an improvement in the success probabilities of the multi‐photon gates, but also new uses of MZI networks for gate‐based linear optical quantum

GREENING FOR BOSONS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Throughout history, scientific advancement has been dependent upon advances in the technologies of research. However, branches of research that today rely on Research Infrastructures (RIs) such as accelerators require technological investments so large that multination collaborations are required to fund them.

Probing Higgs-portal dark matter with vector-boson fusion

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
We constrain the Higgs-portal model employing the vector-boson fusion channel at the LHC. In particular, we include the phenomenologically interesting parameter region near the Higgs resonance, where the Higgs-boson mass is close to the threshold for ...

Mott transition in one-dimensional boson-fermion mixtures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
We numerically investigated Mott transitions and mixing-demixing transitions in one-dimensional boson-fermion mixtures at a commensurate filling. The mixing-demixing transition occurred in a qualitatively similar manner to the incommensurate filling case.
