Due to its simple and beautiful architectural appearance, the stress‐ribbon bridge (SRB) has been gradually built around the world as a pedestrian or traffic bridge. However, as characterized by low bending stiffness and low damping ratio features, SRB is prone to the dynamic effects of external excitations, such as pedestrians, vehicles, and/or winds.

Abstract Objective In this study, we applied shape analysis to differentiate two Red Mullet Mullus barbatus stocks in the western Black Sea and assessed the generalized linear model (GLM) for age prediction based on otolith dimensions and weight. Methods Sagittal otoliths from 259 fish were collected by commercial bottom trawl vessels in İğneada and ...

Thermohaline Intrusions as Seen by Argo Floats: The Case of the Black Sea
Abstract Understanding the dynamics of thermohaline intrusions is crucial for predicting changes in water masses and their impact on marine ecosystems, especially in highly stratified semi‐enclosed seas and other coastal environments. We use high‐resolution (up to 1–2 m) Argo profiling float data collected over 15 years in the Black Sea, an excellent ...

Tracking aquatic animals for fisheries management in European waters
Abstract Acoustic telemetry (AT) has emerged as a valuable tool for monitoring aquatic animals in both European inland and marine waters over the past two decades. The European Tracking Network (ETN) initiative has played a pivotal role in promoting collaboration among AT researchers in Europe and has led to a significant increase in the number of ...
