STING/Type I Interferon Pathway Activation Confers Multimodal Therapeutic Benefits in Osteomyelitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
STING/type I interferon signaling counteracts osteomyelitis through coordinated control of pain, bone destruction, and abscess formation. It inhibits pathogen‐induced nociceptor activation, restrains osteoclast‐mediated bone resorption, and suppresses IL‐1β‐driven neutrophil recruitment.

Loss of Intestinal MSTN Promotes GLP‐1 Secretion Through SGLT1 Palmitoylation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Intestinal MSTN deficiency enhances glucose‐stimulated GLP‐1 secretion and glucose tolerance in high‐fat diet‐fed mice. Mechanistically, loss of MSTN promotes YY1‐associated ZDHHC20 expression, increasing SGLT1 S‐palmitoylation at Cys301 and its plasma membrane localization in L cells.

The effect of quality of segmental bowel preparation on adenoma detection rate

open access: yesBMC Gastroenterology, 2019
Background The effectiveness in surveillance colonoscopy largely depends on the quality of bowel preparation. We aimed to investigate the quality of bowel preparation segmentally and its effect on Adenoma Detection Rate (ADR) and Advanced Adenoma ...

[Bowel preparation for colonoscopy: comparative study using Boston Bowel Preparation Scale].

open access: yesActa gastroenterologica Latinoamericana, 2013
Most comparative studies on different preparations for colonic cleanliness use unvalidated scales with terms as "excellent," "good," "fair," and "poor" which lack standardized definitions. The Boston Bowel Preparation Scale (BBPS) is a valid and simple measure of bowel preparation. To compare three different bowel preparations [polyethylenglycol (PEG ...

Use of the Boston Bowel Preparation Scale in the real life setting: what affects it?

open access: yesRevista espanola de enfermedades digestivas, 2021
Adequacy of bowel cleansing is a quality measure for colonoscopy, affecting both its safety and diagnostic accuracy. Among several bowel preparation quality scales referred to in literature, the Boston Bowel Preparation Scale (BBPS) is regarded as one of the most valid and reliable. However, BBPS is conditioned by a partially subjective appraisal.

In Vivo CRISPR Screen Identifies RPS19 as an Immunotherapy Target in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By employing in vivo CRISPR functional screening, we identify ribosomal protein RPS19 as a pivotal mediator driving immune evasion in hepatocellular carcinoma, wherein tumor‑released RPS19 binds C5aR1 on tumor‑associated macrophages to initiate downstream immunosuppressive signaling; SP94‑peptide‑modified SNPSS nanoparticles deliver Cas9/sgRPS19 ...

The development and validation of a new diagnostic sonographic enthesitis score for psoriatic arthritis: Diagnostic Ultrasound Enthesitis Tool (DUET)

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Accepted Article.
Objective The Diagnostic Ultrasound Enthesitis Tool (DUET) study aimed to develop and validate a new sonographic scoring system for enthesitis to aid PsA diagnosis. Methods We prospectively enrolled patients with early PsA, psoriasis without arthritis (PsO), and non‐inflammatory musculoskeletal symptoms as controls (CTL) from 17 centers. A standardized
