Normative data for the boston naming test for Australian elderly
Aphasiology, 1995Abstract The Boston Naming Test (BNT) is frequently used to assess for word-retrieval difficulties, but its use outside North America is restricted by items such as ‘beaver’ and ‘pretzel’. A total of 136 older Australians were tested on the BNT. Those items which frequently produced naming errors were identified and alternative items trialled.

Boston Naming Test: Shortened Versions for Use in Alzheimer's Disease
Journal of Gerontology, 1992Four new 15-item versions of the Boston Naming Test (BNT), a 15-item version used by the Consortium To Establish a Registry for Alzheimer's Disease (CERAD), and three 30-item BNT versions were studied in 26 subjects with Alzheimer's disease (AD) and 26 nondemented, neurologically normal controls. The four 15-item versions were statistically equivalent.

Comparison of different versions of the Boston naming test
Clinical Neuropsychologist, 1989Abstract This study compared a series of 49 clinical patients' performance on the different versions of the Boston Naming Test (BNT). Specifically, items were scored according to the criteria for the 85-item experimental version, for the 60-item published version, and for two 42-item short forms developed for test-retest purposes.

Caution warranted in extrapolating from Boston Naming Test item gradation construct
Applied Neuropsychology: Adult, 2016The Boston Naming Test (BNT) was designed to present items in order of difficulty based on word frequency. Changes in word frequencies over time, however, would frustrate extrapolation in clinical and research settings based on the theoretical construct because performance on the BNT might reflect changes in ecological frequency of the test items ...

Adaptation of the Boston Diagnostic Aphasia Examination and the Boston Naming Test into Finnish
Scandinavian Journal of Logopedics and Phoniatrics, 1993We have adapted two widely used aphasia tests, the Boston Diagnostic Aphasia Examination (BDAE) and the Boston Naming Test (BNT), to the Finnish language. The BDAE is the first extensive standardized aphasia test battery that will be published in Finnish.

Comparison of developmental norms for the boston naming test
Clinical Neuropsychologist, 1994Abstract The Boston Naming Test was originally developed for use with adults, but has also been used with children. Several sets of developmental norms have been published, but the samples on which the norms are based are small to moderate in size, and vary along important dimensions, including geographic distribution and ethnic composition.

Boston Naming Test performance of older New Zealand adults
Aphasiology, 2007Background: The Boston Naming Test (BNT) is the most commonly used confrontation‐naming test in Anglophone countries. In a study of young New Zealand adults (Barker‐Collo, 2001) the average participant performed well below the mean of the most closely matched North American normative sample, and potentially culturally biased items were identified. Aims:

Boston Naming Test with Latencies (BNT-L)
Although most people have experienced word-finding difficulty at one time or another, there are no clinical instruments able to reliably distinguish normal age-related effects from pathology in word-finding impairment. Two experiments were conducted to establish a modified version of the Boston Naming Test (BNT) that includes latency times, the Boston ...openaire +1 more source
