Abstract Background The emergence of multidrug‐resistant bacteria necessitates the development of alternative therapeutic approaches. Thymus capitatus, a Mediterranean medicinal plant, has been traditionally used to treat various ailments, but its bioactive potential from Libyan origins remains underexplored.
