High Light Acclimation Induces Chloroplast Precursor Phosphorylation and Reduces Import Efficiency

open access: yesPlants, 2019
Acclimation is an essential process in plants on many levels, but especially in chloroplasts under changing light conditions. It is partially known how the photosynthetic machinery reacts upon exposure to high light intensities, including rearrangement ...

Higher yields of cyclodepsipetides from Scopulariopsis brevicaulis by random mutagenesis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The ascomycete Scopulariopsis brevicaulis, which was isolated from the marine sponge Tethya aurantium, produces two cyclodepsipeptides, scopularides A and B [1]. Both peptides exhibit activity against several tumor cell lines.

Entschlüsselung der Polymer‐Interaktionen in Biokonjugaten unterschiedlicher Architektur durch zeitaufgelöste limitierte Proteolyse mit massenspektrometrischer Analyse

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 137, Issue 9, February 24, 2025.

Deciphering Polymer Interactions in Bioconjugates with Different Architectures by Structural Analysis via Time‐Resolved Limited Proteolysis Mass Spectrometry

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Volume 64, Issue 9, February 24, 2025.
A quantitative time‐resolved limited proteolysis (LiP) mass spectrometry (MS) was developed to decipher interferon alpha 2a (IFN) interactions using “heavy” 15N‐IFN wild type as an internal standard. We monitor tryptic cleavage dynamics of specific protein‐protein interactions and transient non‐specific polymer‐protein interactions (IFN‐bioconjugates ...

Cephaloziella biokoensis sp. nov. (Marchantiopsida, Cephaloziellaceae), from the island of Bioko (Equatorial Guinea) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
A new species, Cephaloziella biokoensis Vá a & F.Müller, is described and illustrated. The type locality is at the highest point of the island of Bioko (Equatorial Guinea) at an altitude of ca. 2900 m NN.

Phylogenetics and morphological character evolution in the achyranthoid clade (Amaranthaceae): Evidence to re‐circumscribe the genera Achyranthes and Cyathula and to resurrect a third species of the former genus Sericocomopsis in East Africa

open access: yesTAXON, Volume 74, Issue 1, Page 66-100, February 2025.
Abstract The achyranthoid clade constitutes the second most species‐rich lineage of the Amaranthaceae after the gomphrenoid clade. The Achyranthoids are mostly African, in contrast to the largely Neotropical Gomphrenoids, and comprise a large number of genera, many of which were revealed as non‐monophyletic.
