All‐dry synthesis is a novel way to make LiNixMnyCozO2 (0.6 ≤ x ≤ 0.7, x + y + z = 1) single crystal cathodes. The reactions that occur during synthesis are elucidated via in‐situ X‐Ray Diffraction. A rock salt phase is formed initially, allowing cations to mix.
