UHE neutrinos: higher twists, scales, saturation
It is shown that in the ultra-high energy neutrino interactions the higher twist corrections brought about by the non-conservation of the top-bottom current dramatically change the longitudinal structure function, $F_L$.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Knowledge of near-bottom ocean current velocities and especially their extreme values is necessary to understand geomorphology of the seafloor and composition of benthic biological communities and quantify mechanical energy dissipation by bottom drag ...

Methane release from the southern Brazilian margin during the last glacial
Seafloor methane release can significantly affect the global carbon cycle and climate. Appreciable quantities of methane are stored in continental margin sediments as shallow gas and hydrate deposits, and changes in pressure, temperature and/or bottom ...

We theoretically study the electronic structure and spin splitting of a strained GaAs(001) surface with broken twofold symmetry. We introduce a surface electron Hamiltonian of our model.

Microfluidic generation of networked droplet collections and lipid membrane constructs [PDF]
We report on microfluidic strategies to generate several multi-compartment membrane-based structures, including droplet interface bilayer networks and multi-compartment vesicles.

Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

Contourites: Physical oceanography, process sedimentology, and petroleum geology
The purpose of this critical review is to address fundamental principles associated with contourites and other bottom-current deposits. The four basic types of deep-marine bottom currents are: (1) thermohaline-induced geostrophic contour currents, (2 ...

An Alternative Yukawa Unified SUSY Scenario
Supersymmetric SO(10) Grand Unified Theories with Yukawa unification represent an appealing possibility for physics beyond the Standard Model. However Yukawa unification is made difficult by large threshold corrections to the bottom mass.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.
