Kondo cloud of single heavy quark in cold and dense matter
The Kondo effect is a universal phenomena observed in a variety of fermion systems containing a heavy impurity particle whose interaction is governed by the non-Abelian interaction. At extremely high density, I study the Kondo effect by color exchange in

Study of B, $$B_s$$ B s mesons using heavy quark effective theory
Inspired by the lower statistical information in the bottom sector, in this paper, we calculate the masses and the strong decays of excited B and $$B_s$$ B s mesons in the framework of heavy quark effective theory (HQET).

New physics in t-> b W decay at next-to-leading order in QCD
We consider contributions of non-standard tbW effective operators to the decay of an unpolarized top quark into a bottom quark and a W gauge boson at next-to-leading order in QCD.

Bottom quark contribution to spin-dependent dark matter detection
We investigate a previously overlooked bottom quark contribution to the spin-dependent cross section for Dark Matter (DM) scattering from the nucleon. While the mechanism is relevant to any supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model, for illustrative

Short Distance Mass of a Heavy Quark at Order \alpha_s^3
The relation between the on-shell quark mass and the mass defined in the modified minimal subtraction scheme is computed up to order \alpha_s^3. Implications for the numerical values of the top and bottom quark masses are discussed.

An Interview With Peter Rousseeuw
Summary Peter J. Rousseeuw is a statistician known mainly for his work on robust statistics and cluster analysis. Among his creations are least trimmed squares regression, the minimum covariance determinant estimator, the partitioning around medoids clustering method and the silhouettes graphical display.

Measurements of the bottom quark mass [PDF]
I will review new measurements of the b quark mass, presented at this conference by ALEPH and DELPHI. A large set of observables has been used and detailed studies on jet algorithms have been performed.

A large number of top quarks will be produced at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) for Run II period. This will allow us to measure the rare processes from the top sector in great details.

Exploring Dark Photon Production and Kinetic Mixing Constraints in Heavy‐Ion Collisions
ABSTRACT Vector U‐bosons, often referred to as “dark photons,” are potential candidates for mediating dark matter interactions. In this study, we outline a procedure to derive theoretical constraints on the upper bound of the kinetic mixing parameter ϵ2MU$$ {\upvarepsilon}^2\left({M}_U\right) $$ using dilepton data from heavy‐ion from SIS to RHIC ...

We compute top quark pair production in association with a bottom quark pair at the LHC within the five-flavour scheme, matched to a parton shower, employing the FxFx merging scheme for $$t\bar{t}+\text {jets}$$ t t ¯ + jets production with up to 2 jets ...
