On bottom mixing with exotic quarks [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2000
In this paper we present a calculation of the effects of bottom mixing with new exotic quarks in the forward-backward and left-right asymmetries, the bottom branching ratio and the QCD coupling constant. A global fit with the recent data on these quantities is done and stringent bounds are obtained.

Prospects for B s 0 $$ {B}_{(s)}^0 $$ → π 0 π 0 and B s 0 $$ {B}_{(s)}^0 $$ → ηη modes and corresponding CP asymmetries at Tera-Z

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
The physics potential of measuring B s 0 $$ {B}_{(s)}^0 $$ → π 0 π 0 and B s 0 $$ {B}_{(s)}^0 $$ → ηη decays via four-photon final states at Tera-Z phase of CEPC or FCC-ee is investigated in this paper.

Spectroscopy of mesons with bottom quarks [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of 37th International Symposium on Lattice Field Theory — PoS(LATTICE2019), 2020
Preliminary results for the spectra of excited and exotic bottom mesons are presented. The calculation on a dynamical anisotropic ensemble exploits distillation, enabling the use of a large basis of interpolating operators including those proportional to the gluonic field strength which are relevant for hybrid states.

More on heavy tetraquarks in lattice QCD at almost physical pion mass

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
We report on our progress in studying exotic, heavy tetraquark states, qq′ Q̅Q̅′. Using publicly available dynamical nf = 2 + 1 Wilson-Clover gauge configurations, generated by the PACS-CS collaboration, with pion masses ≃ 164, 299 and 415 MeV, we extend

Improved theory predictions and global analysis of exclusive b → sμ + μ − processes

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
We provide improved Standard Model theory predictions for the exclusive rare semimuonic processes B → K (*) μ + μ − and B s → ϕμ + μ − . Our results are based on a novel parametrization of the non-local form factors, which manifestly respects a recently ...

Complete analysis on QED corrections to B q → τ + τ −

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
Motivated by a dynamical enhancement of the electromagnetic corrections by a power of ΛQCD/m b in B d,s → μ + μ − at next-to-leading order (NLO), we extend the QED factorization effects on the leptonic B meson decays with light muon leptons to tauonic ...

Excited bottom and bottom-strange mesons in the quark model [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2016
In order to understand the possible $q\bar{q}$ quark-model assignments of the $B_J(5840)$ and $B_J(5960)$ recently reported by the LHCb Collaboration, we evaluate mass spectra, strong decays, and radiative decays of bottom and bottom-strange mesons in a nonrelativistic quark model.

2b or not 2b: on the rejection of g → b b ¯ $$ b\overline{b} $$ jets

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
Motivated by new physics models which lead to final states containing a high multiplicity of bottom and top quarks, we develop a tagging strategy to suppress reducible and non-reducible multi-jet backgrounds. The idea takes advantage of the properties of

Electric dipole moments of baryons with bottom quarks

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2022
Triggered by experimental prospects to measure electromagnetic dipole moments of baryons containing a bottom quark, we calculate the CP-odd electric dipole moments (EDMs) of spin-1/2 single-bottom baryons. We consider CP-violating dimension-six operators in the Standard Model Effective Field Theory that involve bottom quarks, and apply heavy-baryon ...
