Geophysical investigation of the Santa Marta impact structure—Piauí State, Brazil

open access: yesMeteoritics &Planetary Science, EarlyView.
Abstract The Santa Marta impact structure in northeastern Brazil, recognized as a partially preserved complex crater, was investigated through an integrated geophysical study employing magnetotelluric (MT) and gravity methods. Our research provides constraints on the crater's subsurface architecture.

Apollo 17 Lunar Surface Gravimeter as a Seismometer: Relocating Shallow‐Moonquake Sources and Implications for Source Mechanism

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 9, 16 May 2026.
Abstract Among the reported seismic events on the Moon, shallow moonquakes are known for their unique features, such as high‐frequency energy excitation, similarity to intraplate earthquakes, and the largest energy release of all reported moonquakes. Despite these interesting features, a small number of samples (<80 events) and sparse seismic network ...

Geophysical investigation of the Pb-Zn deposit of Lontzen-Poppelsberg, Belgium [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The drillhole information from the Lontzen-Poppelsberg site has demonstrated three orebodies and has allowed the estimation of the extension of the lodes, their dip, and the location at the ground surface.

Resistivity Structure of the Alabama‐Oklahoma Lineament and Mississippi Embayment: Insights Into Crustal Weakness, Heat Flow, and Seismicity of the Region

open access: yesEarth and Space Science, Volume 13, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract The Alabama–Oklahoma Lineament (AOL) is a major crustal boundary that intersects the Mississippi Embayment (ME) and may influence intraplate deformation in the southern United States. We present the first regional magnetotelluric (MT) resistivity models across the AOL–ME system using EarthScope data and two‐dimensional inversion. All southwest–

Holocene Normal Faulting in the Southern Rocky Mountain Trench; Orogenic Collapse Modulated by Glacial Unloading?

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Solid Earth, Volume 131, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract The Southern Rocky Mountain Trench (SRMT) is a conspicuous valley in the eastern Canadian Cordillera. It lies above a sharp change in lithospheric strength and thickness and is occupied by a normal fault thought to have last been active in the Eocene.
