Boundary-to-Boundary Flows in Planar Graphs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We give an iterative algorithm for finding the maximum flow between a set of sources and sinks that lie on the boundary of a planar graph. Our algorithm uses only O(n) queries to simple data structures, achieving an O(n log n) running time that we expect to be practical given the use of simple primitives.

What is the boundary between public and private? Some reflections, based on the royal domain

open access: yesL'Atelier du CRH, 2021
In a political society where service to the king and kingdom are passed down family lines – so, where public responsibilities are hereditary, where the monarch himself is simultaneously head of State and head of a lineage but sacrifices his inheritance ...

The ‘foreigner in our midst’ and the Hebrew Bible

open access: yesHTS Teologiese Studies/Theological Studies, 2019

Acoustic boundary layers as boundary conditions [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Computational Physics, 2018
The linearized, compressible Navier-Stokes equations can be used to model acoustic wave propagation in the presence of viscous and thermal boundary layers. However, acoustic boundary layers are notorious for invoking prohibitively high resolution requirements on numerical solutions of the equations.

Compliance with planetary boundaries in international law

open access: yes, 2021
Planetary and legal boundaries can only be effective if they are observed, respected and complied with. In Chapter 10, Jonas Ebbesson addresses the critical issue of compliance with planetary boundaries in international law.

Shared Housing as Public Space? The Ambiguous Borders of Social Infrastructure

open access: yesUrban Planning, 2022
The Folkhem era in Sweden set high architectural standards for social infrastructures dispersedly located in cities. Over the past two decades, however, Swedish planning, when it comes to the localization of social infrastructure, has been increasingly ...

Boundary streaming with Navier boundary condition [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2014
In microfluidic applications involving high-frequency acoustic waves over a solid boundary, the Stokes boundary-layer thickness $δ$ is so small that some non-negligible slip may occur at the fluid-solid interface. This paper assesses the impact of the slip by revisiting the classical problem of steady acoustic streaming over a flat boundary with the ...

Importance of low-angle grain boundaries in YBa2Cu3O7-delta coated conductors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Over the past ten years the perception of grain boundaries in YBa2Cu3O7−δ conductors has changed greatly. They are now not a problem to be eliminated, but an inevitable and potentially favourable part of the material.
